The following letter has been issues to the Chairmen of the following leagues: EIHL, EPL, ENL, SNL & SPL

Dear Sir,

I am writing to formally introduce myself as the chair of the British Ice Hockey Fans Association (BIHFA) who as a newly formed organisation aim to represent our members and work with all the various leagues, clubs and associations in which ever way we can for the betterment of the sport in the United Kingdom.

We were made aware of a UK Sport led government review around British Ice Hockey in early 2007, and this became our main rational behind the creation of the BIHFA. We believe that this review offers a fantastic opportunity for clubs, leagues and fans to work together and drive Ice Hockey to new levels within the United Kingdom, and it is the intention of the BIHFA to represent it’s members wherever possible in discussions with all interested parties.

Our membership is growing daily, and we sincerely hope that constructive and positive channels of communication can be forged with all those currently involved in the day to day running of hockey in this country, and we believe as an association, communications are an area where we can add significant value to the sport as it progresses.

Being an interim committee, we have setup a draft constitution, and some early high level focus points, and we aim to have these formally accepted at our first Annual General Meeting which we are in the process of scheduling at the moment.

We would like to extend a warm invitation to you and hope that a representative will be able to attend this event and act as one of our guest speakers on the night.
