I have enjoyed all my time both in Solihull and Sheffield- there has been good and bad times at both clubs but its all been part of life. If your looking for some highlights, being the first manager to take Solihull to the play offs, my overall contribution at Sheffield, being Manager of the 2001 Grand Slam team, being on the bench at Nottingham when we cleared them. - Dave Simms, Sheffield Steelers.

To many to mention but I suppose just being around for the Heineken era and seeing the sport take off in the 80's and again when the ISL was formed to see some of the best hockey played on these shores (outside the NHL) 1998/99 and 1999/00 I believe were the best years on the ice in terms of quality. Unfortunate ISL's business plan and mismanagement by way of overspending and lack of sponsorship led to its downfall and the continuing problems since. . - Jo Collins, Ice Hockey Players Association.
