Q 1: When did you first become involved in Ice Hockey, and in what capacities? (I.e. former player, referee etc)

I came over here to play for the Bracknell Bees in 1997. - Todd Kelman, Belfast Giants.

BOA interface - Mike Hay, British Olympic Association - Olympic Performance Manager.

I started playing when I was 4 years old. I turned professional at age 20 - Brent Pope, Cardiff Devils.

I started to play when I was 6 years old. I grew up in Canada and I only skated on the river by our farm - Chris McCsorely.

First started watching hockey when I lived in Bristol in 1993.  My wife used to watch Blackpool in the 80’s and we went to a hockey game in Swindon for something to do.  Moved to Reigate in Surrey and adopted the Guildford Flames (1993), never looked back since. Now I am editor of the GBSC Magazine (Fifthline), the GBSC rep for Guildford, a member of IHJUK and have supplied articles on GB and Guildford to various publications and websites.- Andy Smith, Fifth Line.

I first started playing In Solihull when I was about13/14 and played until I was about 24, I had a back injury and started coaching at 26 and have been coaching since! - Paul Thomson, Coventry Blaze & GB Head Coach.

My sons started playing aged four and seven, at Queens Road, Sheffield under coach Craig Webster. I became so frustrated with not being able to play that I bought myself all the kit, and then learnt to skate! I am currently ENIHL team manager with Kingston Jets. - Clinton Cooper, Kingston Jets.

1983 – Solihull Barons, firstly as a fan, then as a 50-50 seller, then as a supporters club official, then on the clubs management committee and then as Team Manager. – Dave Simms, Sheffield Steelers.

1982 - Contributor to the Ice Hockey News Review - Birds Eye View - A fun look at the sport in those days Pseudonym was Filly Flyer. Involved in formation of the IHPA in 1993 as Secretary then as ED in 1996. – Jo Collins, IHPA.
