Question 4: Within your present remit in British Hockey, what support are you able to provide to Women’s Ice Hockey?
I would love to see women’s hockey grow here in Northern Ireland but we are taking small steps to get our juniors playing in a proper league. We are a few years behind the rest of the clubs in the UK when it comes to development which means we are even further behind in the development of women’s hockey but it is something to work towards in the future. - Todd Kelman, Belfast Giants.

N/A- Mike Hay, British Olympic Association - Olympic Performance Manager.

Very little.I have the interest but not the time. - Brent Pope, Cardiff Devils.

Presently I am not able to assist the women’s program due to I’ve been working in Switzerland since 2001, but I must say the I wish I took the time to have done more during my tenure as the GB Nat coach to have assisted with the women’s program. I do go to Women’s games (although they tend to be end of season) and helped out at Sheffield during the World Championships last season.
I am in contact with Anna Walters (GB Team Manager) for information when it comes round to publishing the GBSC magazine.  Happy to publish anything she wants about the team.- Chris McCsorely.

I attend the end-of-seasons Junior Tournaments, either the Championship finals at Sheffield or the Inter-Conference Finals at Hull.
I am in contact with Paul Bignell (U-20) and Ian Turner (U-18) GB Managers for information when it comes round to publishing the GBSC magazine.  Happy to publish anything she wants about the team! - Andy Smith, Fifth Line.

The Guildford Junior programme carries a women’s team. - Kirk Humphreys, Guildford Flames.

None. - Stewart Roberts, Ice Hockey Annual.

In my position I am not involved at all with Womens Hockey, without being rude, it has no interest to me. - Dave Simms, Sheffield Steelers.

None. - Clinton Cooper, Kingston Jets.

Not a lot at EPL level to be fair. - Jon Kynaston, Peterborough Phantoms.

I don’t think I have ever been asked to contribute anything to Women’s Ice Hockey. If they could not find a national team coach in the future, then I would love to do it. - Steve Moria, Slough Jets.

Following Torino 2007, I was asked by BUSA (British Universities Sports Association) to develop a Great Britain Universities Women’s team, with the view to entering them into the new Women’s ice hockey event at the FISU WUG (Harbin 2009). - Simon Hopkins, University Hockey.

The IHPA always welcomed Women Players as members and offered a wide range of services . We had a few but never a huge take up partly down to the lack of resources within the IHPA to get out and promote the Association but also in my view as a result of the tacit opposition from those Organisations charged with running the sport who seemed opposed to players actually having their own independent voice via the IHPA. - Jo Collins, Ice Hockey Players Association.

I think women playing hockey is great. I know at home women’s hockey has grown a ton.  Any way the game grows is a good thing. - Doug Christiansen, Edinburgh Capitals.
